This is a personal, self-hosted integration between Home Assistant and Google Nest. It is not offered as a public service.
With authorization from the Google account owner, the application accesses supported Nest thermostat information, including temperature, operating mode, device status, and temperature setpoints.
Information is used to monitor and control the authorized thermostat and execute smart-home automations.
Home Assistant processes device information on a privately managed server. Home Assistant may retain device history and backups according to its configured settings. Google Nest services and Google Cloud Pub/Sub may process requests and device events required for the integration.
Data is not sold to advertisers or provided to unrelated third parties. Information is exchanged with Google services as needed for thermostat integration.
The Google account owner can revoke access through Google Account permissions or remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant. Stored Home Assistant history and backups can be managed by the server owner.
